Throttle body alignment... is the butterfly supposed to move

Featured Replies

Cleaned my throttle body today and while I had the boost pipe off, I did the throttle body alignment with my liquid gauge.

The LG took about 10 seconds to do the alignment and even confirms at the end that the TB is aligned.

But, I noticed it did not move the butterfly valve during the alignment which does'nt seem right to me

Do any of you know for certain if the butterfly valve is supposed to move or not, during TB alignment ????

Thanks

I'm pretty sure it does as it is supposed too check the full movement of the valve

Thanks fatty5000....thats what I was thinking, would be nice to know for certain, been doing loads of searching but no luck so far.

If if does move then I guess I've got a problem with my TB or LG.
