Part Number for Parking Sensors

Featured Replies

I've been trying to get replacement parking sensors from the dealer I bought my car from for the last several months (It was part of the deal on buying that they get replaced due to a intermittent fault). The individual sensor he got to replace the faulty one on my car has a different connection to the control box to the existing setup in my car (And the sensor looks different to the currently installed sensors).

On my car all the wires from all the sensors are wired into a single block plug that connects to the control box by the wheel arch, so it looks like a full loom with all the sensors will be needed - I think there's as much chance that the wiring is at fault as the sensor (When it's hot and dry the sensors work perfectly), so there's no way I want to go splicing anything in.

Does anyone know what the part number for this is? the car is a 55 reg Elegance 1.9 PD.

The only part number I've found with the search is from http://briskoda.net/superb/changing-reverse-sensors/136701/

and appears to be for a single sensor: 3U0 919 275 B

did you find a fix to this? there is someone on ebay selling OEM kits for about £75 i can find a link if you like.

I've not seen an OEM kit for the Octy 2 on Ebay, only for the Mk1. I rang the dealers the other day about the genuine Mk2 kit ( BEA 609 001) but got the response that it wasn't available in the UK, only Europe. Not sure if this is true or not but he couldn't get them only the Cobra kit.

Yep - same response I got.

Another good reason to just spend 18 on a bit from ebay. If you've already got a factory fitted kit with dody sensors you should be able to get a replacement part. the alternative is to search for Durham Parking Sensors - they do a reverse mount kit for about £20 - I would imagine its a straight swap but don't quote me on it.
