Which type of tow bar - Vrs

Featured Replies

Looking at getting tow bar fitted to the Octavia Estate, I dont have parking sensors so wondering whether its worth paying the extra £100 for a detachable one over a fixed one.

been qouted £220 fitted (inc electrics) for fixed and £360 for detachable.

Has anyone got a picture of either type of towbar fitted to Octavia estate, I have a VRS LE 09, so any photos of one fitted to that car would be great, give me an idea.

Thanks

Jason

just had a detachable witter fitted with 13 pin electrics at indespension in leeds for £310 all in,they are nationwide so wherever you are you will be near a branch, very discreet and only visible if you get down on your knees to look underneath

same towbar for vrs/standard/estate.mine is 2 litre pd sport 2006

needs small cut in bumper visible only from underneath

hope this helps

Has fixed swan neck brackets both on my 57 plate vRS Estate and on the current 09 vRS hatch. They were both fitted by a local speacialist prior to collecting the car. Cost about £400 with twin electrics (both were Brink brackets).

As an aside we are swapping our caravan for a 2010 model with a 13 pin plug .... we are paying £40 to have the twin electrics on the car swapped for a 13 pin plug.

I have the genuine Skoda removable one. Very happy with it, no cutting was needed as the bumper is already shaped to fit. Tow ball also stows in the dedicated shape in the spare wheel tool kit. Neat!
