God, what have I done

Hi All,

After years of driving proper cars I have been reduced to driving a Skoda.

So, is the Octavia VRs 170 any good then ;)

Iain

P.S. that was a joke. Well the first bit, I know how good the car is :)

No it's terrible, get a petrol ;)

Welcome :)

Rubbish. I hate mine. Worst car I ever owned.

Damn it, somebody's turned the irony filter off again... ;)

Enjoy, and welcome to you and your 'improper' car!

It could be worse... you could have got a VW

Welcome :wavey:

Hello and welcome. An excelent choice you've made there, even better if it's blue. Ignore Babs....diesel rules...lol

You'll struggle to tell if you've got a CR, as most can't tell the difference. Except posters above that don't like diesel.....

welcome briskoda go for the diesel tbh suppose to be quick

A vRS with 170 bhp Simbo is a diesel.

Mk1 Octy vRS - 180bhp petrol

Mk2 Octy vRS - 170 bhp diesel

- 200bhp petrol

Hi All

Picked up the car on Thursday, drove from Derby to Aberdeen on Friday :) Never knew they still made cars with turbo lag

What a great machine though, goes a bit once it gets going. Not used to the traction control kicking in in third, ok it was wet but.... wow, the torque.

Only thing it lacks is iPod connectivity and a phone kit. I guess from the forums here that the MDI can be easily enough added to the Bolero radio, but what about the factory bluetooth phone solution ?

Off out to find some Saxos to race :P
