MSN Messenger not logging in - grrr!

Featured Replies

Anyone else having problems with Windows/MSN Messenger?

Mine worked fine a couple of days ago, but all of a sudden it has decided today not to let me log in, and it gives me this error code: :rotz:

8e5e0158.

Have looked on the MSN website, and all they can suggest is install the latest version of Window's Live Messenger, which I have done, but no improvement!

HELP!!:o

I am using Google Chrome and have also tried it with Internet Explorer and Firefox (both very slow).

Most likely an ISP DNS issue.

HELP!!:o

1. Go to https://support.live.com/eform.aspx?productKey=wlmessenger&ct=eformts

2. Choose the version of your Messenger. A new window will open.

3. On the new window, click any topic at the left side of the page

4. Click "Get more help" located at the bottom right part of the page

5. Click "Get support."

As above (sounds like a DNS issue) - See what they say.

Hope this helps,

Rob.

For now you could try using ebuddy:
