Clicking/creaking when turning left or right

Featured Replies

I've done a quick search and it points to possible cv joint problem. Do these symptoms point to this? It intermintantly clicks and it doesn't make any difference if its under load or not.

How can I tell for sure if it is the cv joint? - could it be the anti roll bar or is that just wishful thinking lol.

Im driving to London (from chester) at the weekend so don't want it to be unsafe etc. And I've got mot in dec, so if its anything terminal it'll prob get picked up then. In the meantime if anyone has had a similar issue and could let me know that would be great

thanks

Peter

well - 1st day of rain and the clicking/creaking has stopped. does that means its unlikely to be a cv joint?

a bit of water on various rubbers might have stopped them creaking... jack it up and have a wiggle and see if anything seems obvious. Or just turn the stereo up on the dry days (which there won't be many before your MOT )
