Last week i was booting it in my Octy when it lost all its power and went into a limp mode. It sounded like a bag of nails (running on three) and i had to nurse it home. (i thought it was something serious like a blown turbo)

This morning i went to A.P.D, a VAG specialist near Poole. Within five minutes i had a coffee in my hand and the technician (Neil) had the bonnet up and diagnostics plugged in. Fifteen minutes later a new ignition coil was installed and the car was running as it should be.

I was there about thirty minutes in total.

If anyone lives in Dorset, gives these guys a visit. The premises is nothing special, but after today, i'll never go back to Skoda.

oooh, in which direction from Poole? I am in Weymouth and am yet to find a decent local VAG shop.

I have used APD many times and can only say good things.

Do APG like us oil burners too?

I see no reason why not, they deal with any VAG car. I have had some experience with local Skoda dealers and APD have been much more helpful. Also they do Revo maps and carried this out to Octavia.
