Crimps for MFD connector

Featured Replies

Anyone know where to get crimps for the yellow connector (audio out) for the MFD ?

I have tried usual Farnells/CPC/RS but they appear to be non-standard

The connector case is fitted but with no crimp termianls.

Thanks

Stuart

I guess the OP's not refering to RCA/Phono connectors, as the sources he states sell numerious different versions...

@ OP - Your local Skoda dealers will be able to get "Repair Wires" for the connector, a short length of cable with a crimp (pre-crimped) at each end, you then chop the end off and connect (solder+heatshrink) your required cable to this. A bit like this -

I've got some of those leads spare if you need 'em.

Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks to VWNAvi I am sorted now- found out the connector is a mini iso. Parts are readily available on Ebay at a sensible price. (People are prepared to pay £15 for these!!) The quality is good and, as I only have a standard crimp tool, the result should prove reliable. Not tested it yet as I now have to fit phonos to the cable I have installed...

Here are the links:

- Plug Mini-ISO yellow, output - phono connector - on eBay (end time 01-Dec-09 19:47:21 GMT)

You can also get the crimps from the polish guy:

Yellow 6 PIN MINI ISO connector / plug on eBay (end time 17-Nov-09 06:59:28 GMT)

- but cheaper to buy the assembled part.
