Fabia Classic help

Featured Replies

I have been charged with selling my father in law's 2002 Fabia...its a basic 1.4 Classic with no frills but it has only done 21,000 miles and has been meticulously serviced every 12 months on the dot. It is in very good condition throughout.

However, he has managed to put a scratch on one side on the two doors and has managed to do a bit of minor damage to the rear light and the paintwork around, neither major problems, but need sorting. I can replace the rear light easily but do not have skill for bodywork repairs.

Should I try and get bodywork sorted before I sell or try and sell it now? Glass's guide tell me it is worth around £2,600 in good condition for a private sale. Obviously it is going to cost to get the repairs done so would it be better to target a slightly lower asking price in its current condition?
