I was always under the illusion when a CV was shot it would clack right from the moment you turned a sharpe corner from standstill, mine don't but as I pull out either way with any sort of purpose I hear the clack, as I don't wish to spend on something that might not be shot, has anyone else had the same experience and what was it in the end.

They can and do go like that, though all the ones I've had have got much noisier quickly until they started shaking the steering in just a few miles.

It might be worth re-greasing it if you can be bothered- might make it quiet again.
