Just got a lcr splitter :Dmay temp to fit it if the weather holds out this weekend :confused:

Any one got any pointers or tips and what did you use self tappers Did any part need cutting:confused:

Do a search I think there were quite a few posts about this over the summer.

IIRC the top tips are use some tape or a helper to hold it in place so you get the position right before you fit it, and secondly drill the holes and try and use some plastic self tappers rather than metal so if you hit something the plastic screws snap rather than ripping the bottom of your bumper off.

My tip would be to take the bumper off, tip it upside down and fit it in comfort whilst being able to line it up exactly as you want it....

...my second tip- when driving spiritedly around Derbyshire beware of huge piles of horse poo as they will rip your splitter off. Yes that really is how my one got destroyed

It is for the fabia, but same principal apart from ignore the part where it states "The part needs to bend slightly so to stop it from deforming and giving a crease I cut 2 small triangles"

That only needs to be done on the Fabia as it is slightly thinner car and the Splitter won't curve around the bumper so easy. On the Octy it is fine.
