What sort of mileage has the car done ?

This isn't going to of much help to you, but I'm having similar troubles with my 2.0TDI (74k). The dealer has diagnosed mine to be caused by oil getting into the fuel system. This is though to have been caused by a tandem pump failure.

Mine misfires/judders occasionally, but lead to a two breakdowns in the past week :-(

Yours could be caused by a host of different things, Do you have any warning lights on ? Either way, you need to get it to a dealer, or someone with a vag-com/VCDS system to find out what wrong.

Lack of power can be caused by a failure MAF, I've had MAF failure before, but it didn't cause any misfires/juddering.... Just lack of power !

The juddering might be caused by a faulty injector(s), faulty sensor, EGR valve not working correctly... I'm sure the list could go on, but thats the things that I have read about.

Hope you get things sorted out soon, welcome to the forum btw !

hi the mileage is 46,000 miles

and on vag.com / vas @ dealer there is no faults in any ecu's

many thanks

scott

My last 1.9 started to judder under load going uphill, new DMF, luckily under warranty.

As stated worth checking EGR,MAF,Fuel filter and DMF.Good luck.
