Hey everyone,

Sorry to start up prob age old debates but im new to the site and just bought my first skoda. The car is a 54 plate octavia VRS (mk1). My plan is to get a remap asap along with a dump valve and air filter, my questions are,

What dump valve to go for?

ADB cool air pipe with induction kit or panel filter?

Where to go for fitting and mapping?

And lastly,

As i bought the car from a vw dealer it came with a approved vw warrety, am i kissing goodbye to that with these few mods?

Cheers for your help and advice!

Oh p.s - where can i get some stainless seal plates, maybe with a VRS badge on to protect inside the door shuts, previous owner has put a couple of scrathes in there already??

I'd be interested to hear opininons on this.

Forge 007 DV's are probably the most popular. Panel filter will keep the engine bay looking OEM, and work very well. I use a K&N, but there are lots of options about. For fitting and mapping, just find your nearest tuner who is a sponsor on this site to be safe. No idea about your warranty, you'd have to read through the paperwork to find that out yourself.

Thanx for the reply,

Im in medway (kent) i think impossible performance would be the most local but from what i can gather on here they are going through a bit of a move at the mo so prob not the best time to contact them. I here that the cold air pipe down to behind the front bumper gives good performance results along side a remap, but there seems to be a question over that on here??? CONFUSSLING!!! As for the warrenty well the paperwork seems to say that non oem parts will not be covered, and thats it. But im sure you knw what its like as soon as you change anything, any and every fault from there on has to be related to the non standard bulb you have put in etc etc.

i would go somewhere else buddy not very good customer service with impossible performance and you never know when there in or out.

do a search and you will see some of there reviews shockingly bad!!!

p.s above is my own experience aswell so not just rumours.

p.s i have the abd intake and it looks and sounds wicked but gives you no gain.. but thats what i would choose everytime

so i suggest the following

1. r-tech remap can come to you ( and its custom)

2. abd intake sounds amazing

3. forge 007p with yellow spring after remap ( r-tech can supply when mapping for a v-good price)

hope this helps
