Wheres my CD changer?

Featured Replies

I picked my vRS FL last Thursday and have been trying to find the cd changer. I have the Bolero unit - does the front load slot act as a loader for all 6 CDS? Spare my blushes!

Correct, you insert all the CDs through the same slot and it will load slots 1 to 6, there is no separate CD changer. Dont forget that these CD's can also hold MP3 tracks.

Ah thanks for that - i read conflicting information that inserting more than 1 CD would cause the initial CD to damage the unit. That must have been referring to the old unit.

Nice one :)

I did not know that! Never would have thought of trying that either. Better check the Sony double din head unit in my dad's car too! Very nifty

you dont load them all at the same time, you need to follow the prompts on the headunit otherwise you could end up with 2 cd's in the same slot. When in CD mode you press a button to insert a disc, and it will ask you what slot, select where you want it and insert the disc. Repeat untl all six slots are full.

The Bolero unit also has a slot for an SD card - a great plus.

Edit - delete (the machine posted this twice)

Yep already using this function and its a nice touch :) Will be ordering a higher capacity card ASAP. Currently sifting through all my DRM protected tracks and wondering why I ever bother purchasing through iTunes :/

How long does it take for a typical SD card to load?

Iam using a 8GB HCSD card it loads up in seconds......no problem you can get larger cards but I find the 8GB more than adequate

Just don't ask it to "mix" them up, because it won't. Nor will it do so if you have a HDD attached to the MDI either, however it does if you attach an Ipod!

Just stick to MP3 CD's.
