This has occurred twice in the last couple of days now.

The radio has cut out and the dashboard lights seem to go through the ignition on sequence. The Trip meter & clock reset to 0. The car carries on though. The first time it happened was when I was accelerating quite hard, & I think the second time I may have hit a bump. The radio comes back on, but on a different station. The trip meter resets also.

Any thoughts, I've not had the car long, it's a 2001 Octavia RS

Loose earth lead from the battery maybe?

Finally tracked it down. Car died afteer turning the ignition on & trying to start it. Decided to charge the battery, went to undo +ve battery terminal & it was loose. Tightened terminals et voila no more problems. Felt a bit of a numpty though.
