Advice needed: Installing Bluetooth into Octy MK2

Featured Replies

I'm looking to install the Parrot CK3100 Handsfree into my fathers Octy MK2 VRS. I realise it needs a SOT 976 wiring loom, is there anything else specifically I would require (uses standard head unit & CD changer)? I've done numerous searches and notice people saying there is no ignition feed with wiring loom so won't turn the Parrot device off. So wondered what do most people do to solve this? I'd really like practical advice, as in buy lead 'x' and connect 'a' to 'b'. I live in N Ireland so wouldn't know anyone who could install vStu's OEM Skoda Bluetooth kit before someone suggests thats what i do.

Many thanks in advance,

Paul

They are correct, there is no switched feed behind the headunit as its controlled by canbus so no switched supply is required. To get over this you need to connect the switched supply directly to the fusebox.

Thanks mannyo, anyone know what wire I use or have any kind of diagram to connect to fuse box and if it's a difficult job. Otherwise I suppose I'll have to find someone to pay to install. Sorry but I'm clearly a novice ;-)
