First of all congratulations on the tidy looking forum.

I have been looking around this forum for advice on purchasing a new Octavia VRS. I currently own a 2006 VW Golf GTI and have been in to VW's for years. I have a growing family and like the idea of the Octavia VRS being similar performance but much more practical.

I am tempted by the VAT free offers currently on the new VRS and will be going to see my local dealer to price up a new black VRS with black leather against my GTI. I would be really grateful to receive some advice on the transfer from the Golf to Octavia? I guess you guys get the question all the time but it would be nice to here your views on the transition.

Also what deals should I be looking for at the dealers, hopefully should get a good HP or PCP deal as I dont have a great deal of equity in the GTI but I can afford a decent monthly payment so not too worried about that.

Keep the GTI or buy a new VRS???? HELP!

Rocco is beautiful car but the boot is very small with no room for a pram, thanks for the response tho.

It's vastly deep, but yeah probably not enough room for a pram... damn children!

That's why I bought mine - for the multiple postcode boot span

And to get the pram in, although we only have a buggy. I thought prams went the same way as steam engines?

I have just swapped my 07 Audi A4 Avant, sportline for new Vrs estate, cant believe the extra room, get pram+ 3 dogs in easy ! great spec and I loaded it with full heated leather, DSG, Bluetooth etc etc etc and got enough left for a new gixer !

In my opinion Vrs is great compromise !
