Hello all, silly question purhaps, we are due to collect a new L&K next week & I have managed to have a sneek preview of the car this week since delivery & I noticed but did not pay much attention at the time but where I thought the ESP switch is located a TCS switch is in that position.

Hav'ent had a chance to ask the dealer as yet but checking the spec I thought the L&K has ESP as standard. Can anyone throw any light here? Model L&K 1.8 TSI DSG.

Just checking the manual & relevant up dates it would appear the TCS is only a tracktion control sytem

TCS is one component of the ECS system, the november manual supplement states that only the TCS component can be disabled (it is all enabled as standard). This is the reason that there is only a TCS switch, despite the car having the full ECS on board.

ESP is still standard but is now not switchable, its on all the time.

The button has been replaced by TCS which was always standard but can now be turned off.

Changes to the spec are listed in the supplementary owners manual released Nov 09

Many thanks for replies. Have actually collected hand book & stuff today & noticed not only is there a hand book but in fact two updated books.
