Can anyone help? I have Thule bars and a box but I am worried that when I try to put them on my new Skoda Octavia vRS (not yet tried) the factory aerial will foul on the underside / back of the box. Is this a common problem and if so has anyone got a solution?

I must admit I would prefer a lower profile aerial than the one on the car (my last car - Audi A4) had the aerial built into the rear window - maybe a shark fin type aerial would look better, not stick up so far and be car wash friendly? Does anyone have any recommendations and cost of fitting?

Both of those look the ticket - does the OEM aerial just unscrew? if not how easy are these to fit (the short stubby one on ebay says has a 5mm thread - is this compatable?)?

I'd just ask the sellers on ebay or at your local Halfords or motor factors.

It's pointless having a fin type aerial if it doesn't work very well.

Sort of - unscrew and then pull HARD and it pops off...

Yes it does just unscrew, I always take mine off when I go through a car wash.
