Is the VW 6 CD changer the same as the Skoda unit

Does anyone know of the VW 6 CD Changer (part no 1J5 035 11 A) is the same as the Skoda unit (part no aap035001)?

a quick google hints it could be the same

should be the same, SWMBO's seat leon's changer looks identical to mine and when it had to be changed it came with a VW instruction book!
