upgrading super headlights

Featured Replies

Hi, can anyone please advise on the easiest and cheapest method of upgrading the superbs headlights.

Thanks,

Wrong forum then...

But what are you trying to upgrade?

Cheapest option is better bulbs, something made by Philips would be a good choice.

Next up would be a xenon kit (but not strictly legal - but IMO you would be unlikely to be pulled as the Superb has projector headlights as std.

Dearest option would be to fit OE xenon headlights, automatic adjusters/sensors and headlight washers.

My dipped beam's horrendous on an 03 Tdi Comfort.......... in fact I've had motorcycles that illuminate the road ahead better. Something I need to look into too

You complain now, you should see my headlights!

I've edited mine and replaced all halogen bulbs with 60W Xenon. This might not be legal where you live though. Now i have so much light, that birds come out, flowers spring etc. I can take a pic someday and post here.

even with some Osram 90+'s on my dipped beams i still find them really pretty poor at illuminating the road.... i usually have the fogs on as well, since theyre part of the headlamps no one is really gonna know i have them on.

hids4u.co.uk is my next stop for some 35w (or maybe 55w but the ballasts are apparently quite big and theres not much space under the superbs bonnet) 5000k HID's

Loads behind the bumper though
