Hello all , after a bit of help off you . . . I have got a 57 reg mkII vRS tdi , over the last week or so i have noticed when i am driving the car in 2nd / 3rd / 4th gear from about 20mph upto about 50mph the car is slow at picking up speed and feels like its spluttering or chuggy but once upto 70ish it stops . Gonna have a look at the air filter tomorrow just wondered if anyone has had the same issues or knows what it might be

thanks all

Mines felt a bit like that too, think the ECU gets used to you driving like that (due to all the snow and ice obviously) and delivers fuel to suit. Think mine needs some good hard runs to wake it back up... Want to look at the air filter anyway as a new one won't do any harm.

Contacted the dealers today , they are having it in for the day tomorrow to run VAGCOM and to do some tests on it , Craig the aftersales manager took it for a spin with me in the car and he thinks it could be a number of things from the airflow meter / air filter / fuel filter / possibly the turbo . . . ??? fingers crossed it gets sorted soon

All sorted now , fault was down to a blocked fuel filter , goes like a bat out of hell now

i went in to talk about servicing and spoke to craig, i have to say i was very impressed with him , he took the time to talk me through the services they offer and what they do etc, considering i didnt buy my car off them he was very welcoming. he shook my hand passed me his card and said any problems talk him,hes certainly got my business.
