How to get max bhp from a stage 2 remap?

Featured Replies

Right I'm getting to the point now where I'm running out of things to do, so I'm gona get a stage 2 remap, most probably by revo!

I've been wondering what else I can really do to get the most from the remap, I've already got

Full exhaust system,

forge tip,

cai,

some silicone goodies (intake + coolant hoses still to come)

eBay remap

fmic

And whatever else is in my sig. (I can't view it when using the forum on my phone)

I'm doing an oil change and will clean my k&n this weekend, but was wondering if there was anything else I could do before I get the map done, maybe an injector clean etc?

Thanks!!

it's in the post buddy, will probs fit it next weekend, problem is, now that's everything done suspension wise so I'm toying with the idea of coilovers instead of my fsd's!!!

You and your bloody LSD haha!!

Didn't think a manifold made any difference unless you went BT,

That reminds me actually, you managed to dig out those pics of your manifold yet?

Yeah it was the postal one, cost me £99 an was a bargain, made huge amounts of difference to power, when I hit about 4k it comes to life again a bit like vtec

company is called ecu evolutions

Nope, but I was under the impression that unless you went big turbo then the manifold made no difference due to the fact that the air passing through the standard manifold is pressurised anyway

was there any diffrence off the mark and ie setting off and wat psi did it get up to...from standard 10ps to ? thks

4 BAR FPR?

4 BAR FPR?

Yeah that is what I was planning to do when I take it for the remap

I'm thinking more along the lines of little things I could do servicing wise, so when's it's done the car is at full health

Clean filters and throttle body?

the mannifold makes a huge difference on spool up and retaining the curve through to the redline and lowers egt so less heat soak etc etc very good investment.

put it this way when i fitted mine i had to get the map alterd as it was boosting way to hard due to the fast spool up i was hitting 1.5 bar when it should have been 1.2bar lol

ah, thats the exhaust manifold, i was on about the intake manifold,

where from and how much? me wants!!!

there is another pic somewhere that shows them from the horizontal and you can really see the difference. I looked at a few of the Ebay ones but now I am planning to have one custom fab by Charlie at Pro Speed in Cardiff when he does the downpipe.

ina exhaust mannifold the nuts around £200 group buy on seatcupra.net now...!!!!

wouldnt touch the ebay items you will be dissapointed

p.s inlet mannifold good for big bhp seen them running on cars with 400 +

same as the standard Cat will actually flow quite well but the down pipe is a bit restrictive. The 4x4 Cat is the same as the one on an S3 :D

very true that why alot of people buy the decat pipe cheap as chips and weld the old cat into it.

also you know a standard k03s mannifold flows better than the k04 one
