springs for suspension

Featured Replies

my car is an octavia ii 1.8tsi 2008 year. I want to lower my car with a suspension kit (absorber/springs) but i don't want to be very hard.

So i want someone tell me if i can replace only springs (3cm lower) or i must replace both(absorber/springs).

thanks for your help

Eibach Proline Springs, if you can stretch to it then add the Koni FSD's as they are the prefered choice.

You'll always get a better handling car and also better ride quality if you get matched springs and shocks.

If you did just want to change the springs then as mentioned the Eibach Pro's are a good option.

no idea about them to be honest, but i run the AP coilovers as does harry_vRS and we are both really happy with them. i went from stock to these, harry went from eibach springs/FSD dampers tothe APs and was still impressed. most importantly they are also really well priced. cheaper than the spring damper comnbo, yet will cost the same to install. there are quite a few guys on the gti websiterunning them with nothing but positive things to say.

i bought mine from awesome gti.

you will need to do some digging or some measuring to see what your strut diameter is, as you will be given the option of a 50mm strut or 55mm strut. my vRS was 55mm

Hi

Yes , 55mm struts start with a 1T0 part number and the 50mm one start with a 1K0 part number

You should be able to see it on the shocker itself

I know alot on here use the Eibach and FSD`s togther

They are a great match ;)

Sarah, do your AP coilovers offer adjustable height?

all coilovers are height adjustable.

As mentioned all coilovers are height adjustable and the AP's offer a 35mm-65mm drop but in real life it's really more like 80mm.
