Fault code-P0601

Engine check light does not work on my VRS, so check it occasionally check it with a very basic code reader and code P0601 has come up can't find anything to tell me what it means, anyone got idea's?

Cheers for that Westallc. Got search button too work, seems if i go too Skoda stealers i'll need a new ECU, or if a go to a VAG specialist i need an ECU re-flash.

whatever way you look at it doesnt soung good :S

look on the bright side it still drives unlike mine :'(

Don't worry about it.

I had the same code last july and i can clear mine for a few days then it comes back.

I do know one tuner that can clear it for 1 hours labour.

Not to worried after searching around, seems to be a problem on standard or mapped cars luckily not a common fault though, there was an update from Skoda a few years back. The larger mapping companies also had a cure if the fault appeared on mapped cars, was just a case of tweeking a couple of the parameters on the software. Had a trial APR map 2 years ago so have to take a trip back to the tuners and see what they can do.
