how do I know if I need to replace the flywheel

Featured Replies

next week my octavia is going in for a gearbox rebuild as its done 154000 I thought it would be a good idea to have a new clutch fitted at the same time how do I know if I need to get a new clutch kit alone or a clutch kit and replacement flywheel at the same time the car is a 1.9tdi 90bhp estate which is used as a private hire averageing 50000 miles a year I intend to keep it up to 250000 apx

doesnt it come with it?

for the money involved i would just get the flywheel changed for a solid one ,

personally i would never fit a new clutch without replacing the dual mass flywheel odds are it will fail within the life of the new clutch and give you the expence of stripping it all again !!!
