oil breather pipes

Hi there came bk today and was doing some cleaning of the engine and notest the breather pipe was split. i have got the y shape pipe in silicon already just wonderd if i could put a catch can there or a little filter and blank the pipe which goes under the manifold some where? would this afect running?(been running fine when broke) all so where dose that pipe go?

if you want to do a catch tank then it is the place to cut in as the pipe goes from there into the TIP, most people mount the can on the front as there is plenty of space. Do a search and you will find loads of info. Do you have just the Y Pipe or do you have the lower one that goes to the Crank Case Breather as well as the small line that goes to the inlet manifold from the check valve T piece?

You might think its been running fine but with a split in the breather pipes you will have unmetered air in the system that will be causing you to run lean
