Just a quickie i was talking to a friend with an Audi tt 1.8T 4 wheel drive tonight as he needs a clutch i was telling him about Bodges conversion and he wondered if the G 60 and vr6 clutch would slot into his ??? any ides folks !!!!!

when you convert a golf mk2 to a 20vt,and use a 5 speed mk4 golf hydraulic clutch then you use a vr6 clutch and a g60/mk3 16 v flywheel,the rest i am unsure of,maybe he has his wires crossed with things written about tt converted golf mk 2's?

Dave doesnt the TT 4WD already have K04? it was the 2wd 180s and 190 that didnt iirc

fair enough,can't see it working on the 4x4 box tho,why not just buy one of the off the shelf smf's plus clutch,there are plenty about i can highly recomend a spec clutch and smf

Hmmm I'm not certain mate, but I'm fairly sure the G60 flywheel would match up to the crankshaft fine, as I see no reason why they'd change the bolt pattern within the same engine family.

But, I don't think the VR6 clutch works with the 6-speed gearboxes. Ask him if his gearbox is an 02J or an 02M.

I don't know enough about the TT's to know if his is a 5-speed 02J or a 6-speed 02M. I guess a TT forum would be the place to look to confirm.

I have a feeling the answer will be no though.......

Me too mate but no harm in asking for him lol he was looking at some expensive paddle clutches but thought if the g60 wheel fit he could mate a clutch up to that ....but i think he is being a bit silly because he has a full turbo back blueflame ordered for it ( being made to order) and one or two other trick bits and is planning on mapping it to the max so why risk it all with a possible mis matched clutch ???:no:

Rear beam bushes are on way out and I need new tyres, I am looking at a few options tho. I want some Toyo T1R but there is lots of life in the ones I have on now but I am hoping that they are the reason for the noise / vibration I getting. But I dont want to wast the tyres if it isnt so might get either

You like the R32 ones? I ha had them before and thought they were nice but very heavy.

The Fox FX004 are light and I think they will look very nice lol, depends on the price tho.

must admit these KU712 are a bit hard lol and not the best in the wet/damp, but for the price of the Toyo fitted I can get the R32s with the Mayrun tyres lol then I have 2 sets of rims too.

I really want to try the Toyos tho as I have never had a set of good tyres on the car as I always seem to get a wheel/tyre package. an with this latest thing on the TD rim I cant think of anything else to do really.
