Audi iPhone Cradle in an Octy?

Featured Replies

I'm trying to work out my dream mods list for my new Octy.... when I find a nice low mileage L&K diesel cheapy cheapy! ... and I was looking through the "Audi Parts Bin" trying to work out what parts I could get to "posh up" my Octy!

I saw this iPhone cradle (I have no commercial link with the seller, just for illustration purposes) and was wondering,,, would it fit in the centre console of an Octavia MKII and has anyone done it? The description seems a bit misleading, as I was of the opinion that all of the synchonisation was through bluetooth not the cable... but what connecitons are there on the audi part? Power? Antenna?

Could this get around the rSAP problems by providing a wired connection?

Also... silly though, but does anyone still sell a retro-style car phone? You know when you had a wired handset in the centre console which you could pick up to take a call... whilst the hands free is better, there's something about having a handset to hand which appeals in way!
