PDF Translation Czech - English?

Featured Replies

Hi, I have managed to find a download the full official Skoda Service manual for the Octy 2.

Great - however, it's all in Czech !! Grrrr :(

Anyone know of an application that will translate the text in PDF's into English. Even broken English would suit me fine.

Free CD of the manual to the best helpers ;)

TIA Nick

You could use Adobe to export the manual as a text file (Or download a free trial of Acrobat Pro which should allow you to save it as a Word Document) and then find some on-line resource to translate that, the formatting can be a bit strange though.

Try BABELFISH on the internet - you can put paragraphs in to it - or give it a URL and it translates between two selected languages

Don't think I would want to try to repair my Skoda (or anything else, for that matter) following a manual translated by a free on-line web translator :o

Is it the Owners Manual you have? Or a specific service manual as used by dealer technicians?

The Owners Manuals are already available in English - see http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/121974-official-octavia-ii-facelift-documentation-available-for-download-from-skoda-as/

Apologies if thats not what you are talking about

Thanks, it's the actual service manual as used by Skoda techs. I could only find the Czech version to download..

Thanks, had a look at Babelfish but it will only do 150 words at a time. I have about 600pages of text!!! Bugger!
