Does anyone know why the EGR valve should be registering a fault code on the engine management when this component was only replaced about a year ago?....

the car is a Skoda Fabia 1.4 16v estate. Will go back to dealer garage that supposedly replaced this under warrenty last year and see what they have to say about it.

These pesky valves are more trouble than they are worth - had 2 on a Vauxhall Astra within a couple of years or so of failing again.

Don't think that you can clean them out as they are sealed units. I know they are not cheap either. Any comments appreciated !
