Service Log Codes

Featured Replies

Hello to all

I have a quick question relating to the service schedule booklet. The data on the inside front cover lists all the various codes relating to model description and equipment codes. I am currently thinking of replacing the front discs and pads on my VRs (a job I've done on many other previous vehicles) and I see that, for instance on Euro Car Parts website, there are three different sizes of discs and different size pads with codes that don't seem to relate to anything I have here in front of me. Now, clearly I don't want to order the wrong parts so what's with all these codes and which is the code for the brakes etc.

Any help would be gratefully received. As far as I know the car has no mods in terms of bigger discs but hey - I could be wrong!

Thanks

take no notice of codes, just ask for 288mm front discs and the correct pads to go with them

main dealer prices are quite reasonable when it comes to brake parts, and at least they should get the parts correct
