Columbus / ESP Fault

Featured Replies

Hello,

Just got my car a week ago. (still have not found the time to post some pix) Octavia Scout Facelift.

Also got a columbus headunit from flea bay.

Followed all instructions here how to fit it, the installation went great.

Though I start up the car and I am getting an ESP fault on the maxidot.

Any thoughts anyone? Have I ruined something?

This morning, it seems that the error after 3 minutes of driving has disappeared.

No more vehicle status on the maxidot, for the moment dont know if it will appear again in the afternoon when I'll start up the car again.

MFSW works, all bottons!

Though should I be getting a Navi menu in the maxidot? Does this mean that it needs recoding?

Also reading couple of other threads here, some people with AUX in-put in the jumbo box had to reverse the ground wire from AUX to CD cause it was causing static noise.

This was not the case in my situation. Everything was plug and play, remove facial plate and head unit install gps receiver, new head unit and new facial plate.

Though should I be getting a Navi menu in the maxidot? Does this mean that it needs recoding?

Yes you should & yes it will
