driving along today and the glow plug warning light started flashing. Any ideas what problem might be?

None of brake lights work. is this easy ish job?

Have a look at this thread. The second post has a link to a guide. Sould be an easy enough job, just be careful not to damage the switch when you fit it.

cheers guys. the glow plug warning light started flashing on my octavia this morning. after looking at this thread i have now fixed it. at the cost of £2 all i had to was replace both brake lights which had blown.

doesnt usually flash for when a bulb has blown only usually when the brake pedal switch is faulty

I can confirm that the glow plug warning light comes on if both brake lights are blown.

Yep. Happened to me when my Fabia Tdi brake bulbs were still working! I changed them both and hey presto the warning light disappeared.
