We had to replace the rocker cover rubber gasket on dads 1.5 52 reg Hyundai Accent at the weekend (meant to post this before). Whilst changing this I noticed there was some mayo in the top of the rocker cover. The engine is a Single Overhead Cam, with 12 valves, and the mayo was in the top corner near to where the oil is topped up. I cleaned it out carefully with a flat bladed screwdriver and some rag. It was about the depth of the flatbladed screw driver. The car has done 89K, and uses a little oil, it hasn't lost any coolant. He does a 4 mile short journey twice a day, although it does get 2 or 3 longer runs of 60 miles + a week. Any thoughts welcome - thanks Rich

it will be the short runs at this time of year, I wouldnt be concerned about it at all.
