Hissing passenger air vent

Featured Replies

Hi

In the last few days I've noticed that the passenger air vent (same level as the door mirror) is making a hissing noise on my MkII Fabia 3 Estate 1.4TDI . It's noticeable when the air con is on Level 1-2, and the noise is disproportionate to the air con setting. It sounds like the hissing is coming from the console near to the vent, rather than the actual vent, and the noise stops if I close off the vent with the dial.

I thought the noise was just me being silly, but my wife has actually commented on it now. Never had a problem with noise from the vents / air con before.

Any suggestions on what it could be? It's driving me to distraction!

Thanks in advance....

Andy

Hello, maybe the vent has become detatched inside the dash and air from outside is blowing threw a gap? Id ask your dealer to have a look.

mines been doing it for a while and tbh ive not got round to looking at it, but one option is a leaf or somthing stuck inside. best thing to do is take it to skoda as i persume its still in warrenty. :D
