As title... Can the folding mirrors on a 2005 Elegance be set up so they open and close with the locking, as per the MK2 Superb?

I have vag com but couldn't find anything in there.

I don't think they can, I tried this with my former Superb. By turning the car off, then opening the door - while leaving the mirrors out, then turning the kn0b to the turned in symbol, and then locking the car, and holding the key, but nothing!

I am willing to be proved wrong though, if someone can shed some light on this.

That's along the lines of what I tried... oh well.

I was hoping to get them to unfold when I unlock the car as I think it would make the puddle lights more effective.

Just think yourself lucky you have electric folding mirrors.......... :'(
