Replacement OEM parking sensors

Featured Replies

One of my rear parking sensors is playing up and so I think it needs replaced. It throws up:

1 Fault Found:

01546 - Sensor for Parking Aid; Rear Mid-Left (G204)

004 - No Signal/Communication

Freeze Frame:

Fault Status: 01100100

Fault Priority: 3

Fault Frequency: 254

Reset counter: 77

Mileage: 122830 km

Time Indication: 0

Date: 2000.00.00

Time: 13:01:18

Is it possible to get at the mid left parking sensor without removing the bumper and do the OEM ones come prepainted

I'm also a bit weary about the parking sensor ecu, as I had to reconnect the rear fluid pipe at the weekend there. It had

separated just behind the carpet in the left side of the boot (Great design having a fluid pipe just above electrical connectors !)

Seem to recall that the rear washer and parking sensors started playing up around the same time, but the connections to

the parking sensor ECU look clean enough.

Try swapping the faulty sensor with one of your other ones. If a scan shows the fault in the same place it's the parking sensor ecu at fault, if the fault location moves it's the sensor at fault.
