Water in Fabia boot

Featured Replies

Could someone tell me where does the water at the left side of my Fabia's trunk come from? Any suggestions? Ideas on how to fix it? It usually happens after the rain.

The left side of the car's trunk is always wet, and condense can be catched at the interiors of windows in the car. I suspect it comes from the same reason.

Probably the boot seals have gone. Try a search there's bound to be previous posts with instructions on how to fix it.

Also do a search on "pollen filter" that will probably need replacing and it's a 5 minute DIY job.

If you have condensation problems in the car the leak could be coming in somewhere else.

I have leaky door seal caused damp in the car the water condenced on the back window and dripped down on boot lining.

Check the floor under the mats in the rear footwell near the doors for water if so leaky doors plenty of fourms on here for this problem that Skoda deney exsists.

I have the same problem. I noticed my boot was damp/wet on the left side only after finding my rear passenger foot well was flooded. This was due to that epic rainfall we just had.

I think they maybe linked?

I tested the left light cluster by spraying water onto and around it. But water didn't leak in so, I'm not really sure about the source of the problem.

I have read a lot of people are getting a pool of water inside the spare wheel housing. I've never had that, so I guess I'm lucky. Maybe it's from where the passenger foot well flooded and creped into the boot?

I'll update you if I find a answer to this mystery.

Could also be the rear window washer/motor, known for fail on all fabias/polo/ibiza?, sometimes the hose pops out sometimes its jus epic fail. disconnected the whole thing a few months ago & the boot is dry as a.....

edit remove the boot trim and have a look for signs of wetness or white stains

Edit II I'm a real sucker for 2 year old threads!
