Orange broadband

Featured Replies

Anyone else having loss of service problems today? Can't figure out if its a hardware or orange problem. My livebox extra phone line is being routed through the normal bt line

What area are you in ? I have had loads of problems in Bristol after BT upgraded the exchange on 10th Feb.

ADSL 2 upgrade?

Don't seem to be problems with Orange at the moment so must be me :(

The symptoms are a flashing "@" light on the livebox (which I've done some googling on) and the livebox second line routing through the BT number which is very unusual. Multiple re-boots have not helped and it just stopped working yesterday lunchtime. Later I'll have to fire up the ethernet connected PC and login tot he livebox and see if it says anything.

I might have a USB ADSL modem around to try to connect with to see if its a Livebox hardware problem, just need to remember broadband "dial-up" settings. dial 0, username@fs sound about right?

Thinkso. Not had any problems here with mine although it's gone very slow of late, in fact ever since they asked me for more money due to "improvements". :dull:

You sure it's not doing an update? That locks it out.

Got home yesterday, logged into the livebox, adsl status logged as "Link Down" so something wrong on the line. Called Bangalore for help. Did a hard reset etc, checked cable connections and eventually she agreed with me. They were supposed to fix last night but i'm not home to check. Will know later.

Still its good practice for moving house. Will have to look into tethering the tattoo for emergencies.
