Had a little 'dink' - part no. needed!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Last month during the snow I had a bit of a prang with a low wall. I somehow managed not to notice until I got home, but I am missing a lower bumber grill.

Does anyone know if these are available, and if so any chance of a part number ?!

I think it's 1U0 853 684

You need 1U0 853 656 as well, though this comes primed not painted

I may be wrong though

perfect time to upgrade to milotec ones will be cheaper and look better

Proper part number is 1U0 853 683 B41 for the grille and the painted strip is 1U0 853 655 GRU.

£3.24 for the painted bit and £7.51 for the grille

Out of interest which way is left and right read by ETKA

Looking from the front or sitting in the drivers seat ???

Sitting in the drivers seat.

Always impressed at how quick I get an answer on here! Where do you find out these part numbers from?

You can tell from the part number as well. If it the last number of it is even, it is a right hand side, if it's odd it's a left hand side or not handed.

This applies to the main part of the part number. Sometimes they have a colour code on the end, such as B41 for black, 5SE for grey and GRU for primer etc.

Sorry for my ignorance but what is ETKA ?

It's the VAG parts system all the dealers use it too order in your parts ( and some have alternate access too it :smirk: )

It's like the old micro fisch but on a PC.
