I have a richmond gear knob and wondered if it was possible to remove the standard one on my fabia vRS so i could use it and if so can anyone please tell me how.:S

lift up gaiter so that you can see the bottom of the standard gear knob. You will see a big old pinch clip screwdriver into the proud bit and move it about till its loose and remove gearknob by lifting it off.

Thanks Bodie but what exactly do you mean by screwdrivering it into the proud bit?

Just lift up the gaiter, and look for the metal clip on the gearknob. Loosen that with the screwdriver, or cut it, and it just pulls off.

Once i remove the clip, if i keep it would it be possible to put the original gearknob back on if i dont like the look of the Richmond replacment one?

You'd need a new clip. Apparently a jubilee (hose) clip works well.
