Superb Jammed Drivers Door Lock.

Featured Replies

I'm sitting inside my 2006/7 diesel superb all doors are locked . I forgot doors were locked and pulled on the drivers door handle, lock did,t open guess its jammed, any ideas how to release the jammed lock. If i have to take of the door panel -- how do you do it.

Dont know if this will help, but my rear door jams sometimes. If I pull the handle the lock goes up but drops straight back down when I release the handle. If you can keep the handle pulled so the lock is up and press the unlock button on the drivers door it may unlock it, usually works for me.

If it stays down completley, not sure sorry.

Never taken the door card off of my Superb but if it's like most cars there'll be a few retaining screws centered around the interior door handle (sometimes under screw-cap covers). You usually remove the screws on there and with the door open there's often some screw underneath the bottom edge of the door card. Then it's a case of gently prising off the clips that hold the door card to the door ... without breaking them. Be sure to remove all electric connectors for the mirrors/windows etc first too. Usually by using a flat bladed screwdriver and levering them out and unclipping the connector.

These are general instructions but have a search around the forum for "removing door card" and see what it throws up.
