Hands Free Phone Dead

Featured Replies

Well only 4 days old and the handsfree telephone is dead

Infact its not an option the head head unit any more or on the MFD its gone !!!!

Was making a phone call last night when it came up on the display Telephone and that was the last it was seen :'(

Its almost as so the unit has been removed from the car ......

If I press the telephone button on the head unit it now just mutes the radio

Its booked for skoda to have a look

I was playing with mine the other night and it did this.

Try turning bluetooth off on the handset. Turn the radio off too.

Radio on, bluetooth on, then search for the headunit again.

I needed a password "1234" to connect.

Did try that last night but no good

The telephone option is missing from the setup screen just like you removed power from the unit or unplugged it :'(

But thanks for the suggestion

Mine did this - as you say, pressing <phone> just muted the sound.

Try a factory reset, then pairing another phone ?

Have you tried a different phone ?

Yep ... just no bluetooth still in the garage first thing in the morning so will update with any info

I was sat in traffic today, so had a fiddle with my old Nokia (BB is away for fixing) which I failed to pair the other night.

Turned on Bolero (bluetooth on handset off).

Pressed <setup> then <phone> - error message "no phone found" or something to that effect.

Then turned on bluetooth and set the phone off searching - after a few secs paired a treat ("1234" password).
