Alloy wheel centre caps

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of any Superb, or Skoda for that matter alloy wheel centre caps that are approx 58mm accross? Ive got some off my solids but they are 55mm.

Bought some scrap yard specials Audi A4 rims but the audi badge is starting to annoy me :)

Audi rimms look like this

Incidently, ive got 3 Superb solids with tyres for sale, PM me if intertested

Take a look here, may be of use.

Running the OEM Audi badges is actually pretty cool within the 'DUB' scene but appreciate this may not be your bag, I would just source some ones off eBay to be honest, by far your best bet...........

Don't mind Baker, it's not cool ... it can't be. I have OEM Audi badges and by definition, if I do it, it's not cool. :p

On a side note I am trying to remember what the name of those wheels are, the are 17" and I am sure they are called something like Starlet's............

Takes me back to one of my very first 'detailing' jobs back in November '07:

Aye thats the rims :). Not sure of the name, just know the ofset is 45 7.5j rather than 37 7j of my Solids, sit a little bit too far in the arches for my liking.

The audi badges aint offensive, just like the green bling of a skoda badge :wonder: . Been finding it hard to track down some the right size but ive had a crazy idea of slicing the top of the cap off as its domed, and getting some 60mm badges off eBay and some how gluing them on :S

Ive given my self a budget of a tenner to sort it :wonder: lol

Thanks to link to other post allclownsareevi , looks very interesting

Good detailing job Baker, my rims will never look that good, mixed bag of tyres and kurbing :p

Sounds like you need to invest in some spacers buddy, always one of the biggest problems with Audi rims, the offset means they stick way too much into the arches................

Indeed! I ended up getting spacers for the same reason. Now the wheels actually sit ever-so-slightly proud of the arch .... which in theory is an MOT failure, but the tester would have to be having a really bad day to fail it for that.

Yeah but they look so much better I am sure............ ;)

I did look at some spacers, but the going rate seems to be 100 quid for all 4 corners, which I just dont have at the minute, unless you know of any cheap wasy of doing it?

Heres some pics of the wheels on my car, they do look a bit lost under those arches lol. Solids just look bigger for some reason even though they are the same size

The only way to get some spacers on the cheap is to watch out for people selling them in classifieds on various forums.................

As for the wheels on the Superb, thanks for posting up the pics, I think it's a tricky wheel as I am just not sure that thin spokes suit the Superb but on the flip side at least you have something on that no other Superb owner has, or not that we know about............

Yeh I wasnt sure about the wheels, but it was the cheapest set I could find believe it or not, everyone else had snatched up cheap whels for the snow. They are growing on me though. :wonder:

Look pretty good quality from the picture.........

I don't think your motor looks too bad as it is. Ok so the wheels do sit inside the arch a bit, but not by miles.

For reference here's mine as it stands right now. 20mm spacers all round. The rears sit just proud, the fronts sit flush with the arch.

Good luck with the eBay badges too man.

Offset of ET40 . Looking at them now the pics actually make the wheel widths look a bit odd. They look far more natural in profile, was just trying to get a shot of the wheel arch in too.
