Well My 05 Plate VRS Estate Has Gone to Goatboy

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Due to the amount of miles I will be covering I decided to sell my 05 Plate VRS Estate.

I advertised it on here and Dan (Goatboy) picked it up last night.

Gutted to see it go and am missing it already but needs must!!!

Dan was a great guy to do business he advised me he had to sell a 350Z before he could buy which he luckily did at the weekend (or so he said!! see further in post!!) Hope you can handle the power of the Octy after the 350 Dan!!!

(It's Ok Dan won't mention the fact that you came to view it in a Nissan Figaro!!! :giggle: That you said was your otherhalves ;) Nor will I mention the fact that it broke down outside my house and you had to wait 4 hours to get it recovered  ) As long as nobody local thought it was my new car.. :whew:

Hope he has as much luck with it as I have, it never put a foot wrong. Thanks to Colin on here who I bought it from last year for all his assistance too in providing pics. and details at the time.

Will still be on the Forum as am taking delivery of a 54 Plate Fabia VRS on Friday so will still be around, I didn't post many threads as was new to the Skoda scene but thanks to all of you for some of the excellent threads on here.

The advise to get a Rear ARB, totally transformed the Estate and I would highly recomend it, I did have the Revo done too but found it too lairy in the wet on boost setting 6 (which I understand is the normal setting) so Shaun at AMD knocked it back to No. 4 which made it much more drivable, although I had it in "stock" mode mainly just for my commuting (with the Revo Serial switch).

Anyway Thanks all for your help and good luck with the VRS Dan.

Hey! I'm not ashamed of my...errr.... my girlfriends Figaro, it is a bit embarassing when it dumps all its coolant all over the road shortly after arriving though.

Loving the VRS, just what I wanted. Although ti doesn't sound as good as the 350z I'm pleased by how well it handles and goes. Great fun

Here is the now departed zed :'(

LOL...

Wondered how long it would take you to reply Dan.!!!

Don't we get a picture of the Figaro too!!! :giggle:

Very Nice Motor's mate, like I said to you I always fancied a VX220, the VRS must seem like a bus after those!!!

Still at least it's a bit more practical.

Glad your Happy with the VRS. Sure it will serve you well.

I hope you have a good reason for getting rid of that 350z! As much as I love the vRS, I'd love a Zed a lot more.

Its the classic reason, houses. I needed the money and a more pratical car unfortunately for a pending house move.

Its all good though, at least I've had one now and can say I've done it. It was very nice, but I know its gone to a good home

lol.. Now that's more like it Dan!!!

Must admit, the time you had to sit outside mine I should of thought to take a picture of it myself. !!!

Seeing you get out of it was quite a surprise as you must be at least 6 foot 3 or 4".

Anyway good luck with the VRS.

Same applies, if not more, to the fabia vRS. ;)

Cheers devonutopia,

May very well look at getting one for the Fabia in the future, going to keep it standard for a while though.

Like Dan trying to Save some cash for a house.
