polish

Featured Replies

hi guys just wondering what the best polish to use on my new superb its candy white . :moon:

I'm guessing your actually after 'shine', in which case polish is just part of a process. Have a read of some of the guides at the top of this section.

It really is 'horses for courses' with anything like this and it depends how far you want to go with things. I can promise you that it's a slippery slope into total 'anorakism' like me and quite a few others have fallen victim to.

If it's just a nice glossy finish you're after I'd recommend Jetseal, it's easy to apply, gives a great finish, and is very durable.

Any good sealant will help with the shine, so maybe Autoglym EGP or Zaino range. Make sure you clay the car first.

Good wash and clay, then the choices go mad. I currently love AG EGP then Megs Stage 3 Crystal Carnuba Wax or Gold Class.

People on DW don't rate Megs stage 3 wax, but I love it. Easy on and very easy off, never leaves marring and doesn't sweat oils like most waxes.

For a polish , you cant go wrong with Autoglym Super Resin Polish. If you have time then a coat of Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection followed by a coat of a wax of your choice (I use Meguires Gold Class) will give your car a long lasting protective coating,

Pretty good summary post up above here by KR MAN...............

If your after something off the shelf from Halfords then the recommendations below will be fine but if you looking for something to add to that shine then as suggested Jetseal 109 is a great product and you can also use it on your wheels, something like Collinite 476s may also be a good buy but for me it would be something from the Zaino range..............
