Interior Styling Film

I'm just about to pick up my 56 Octavia L&K

First job on the list is to fit the Columbus.

I'm having a bit of a dilemma about the centre console trim.

In my Ambiente, I never thought that the centre console black plastic was a particularly good match for the other interior plastic. I'm trying to think what will look the nicest.

These are my options...

Black, Silver, Colour match the surround "Satin Grey" to go with the car or buy some interior "styling film" and apply over the top.

The last option seems a bit too chav-tastic for such a nice car as the L&K; however, I was wondering...

The early L&K's seem to have the criss cross silver effect trim on the doors; does anyone know of a film or product that will replicate this effect. Obviously it has got to be a good match to look half decent.

If I could pick any dash trim material (although it would have to be the proper stuff, not stick on plastic tat); there used to be a number of really nice aftermarket dashboards for the Mini that were a birdseye maple dyed black. Looked really classy.

Suggestions welcome - I thought the standard plain silver might look a bit pants, considering all the other "silver" trim in the car is criss cross effect, and everything else is black - don't want it to look too much of a mongrel
