For the div's amongst us (me) who have got out 510 sitting in the boot waiting to go in :o) what are SD Destinations?

You can put the data on an SD Card and then select it as your destination

Depending on what firmware your MFD3 is running, you can load destinations onto an SD card from the following website

http://www.vw.com/vwhype/navcompanion/en/us/

Just punch in a UK postcode and press enter.

That should show a map with a red teardrop showing your destination.

Click on that teardrop and a box should appear, allowing you to download that destination onto an SD card.

Put your SD card into your MFD3, and when you open up the navigation function you should be able to access the SD destinations.

Click on the one you want, and the MFD3 does the rest.

Hope that helps

Hi,

Is it possible to then save each address to the HDD? I have got the car yet but should have it in a week or so, so I can't check my self.

Thanks

Kev

Yes - they'll appear in the Destination Memory with an orange icon, showing that they're SD-originated. On a recent visit to France I copied 15 places from my computer to an SD card using VW Companion, then loaded them all at once via the SD slot. They appeared alphabetically in the Destination Memory - brilliant! :)
