I have a 1.8 tsi SE Estate. Can anyone give me some advice on dog guards for the Octavia Estate? The last time I looked they were about £100 from Skoda. Should I pay this much or is there a cheaper alternative which look / do the same? Also how do they attach? Are there any threads with photo's that I can take a look at?

We came by ours through Skoda main agents, so its a Skoda guard. However it had been used, so we got it at a second hand price, and the maindealers fitted it for us. Hope this helps.

I have the Skoda dog guard too - bought it second hand from a member here.

Highly recommended IMHO as it's a good design and fits well.

I expect you could probably find something generic a few quid cheaper but I doubt it will fit as well or be as practical.

I now have the Skoda dog guard which fortunately came with the car. Before that I had bought a generic one off ebay for £30 for my previous vehicle but the Skoda one is worth the extra. If you live near Buckinghamshire and want a free generic one its yours (but I wouldn't bother)
